Poetry Slam-tacular Aftermath
Monday, December 7, 2009 -
Last week's Poetry Slam-Tacular 2009, facilitated by the Filthy Lucre Cultural Enrichment Foundation, was a moderate success! We had about a dozen people show up, and five of them were brave enough to get up front and read their original poems & essays.
The winning contestant was Jessica Dunbar, who won a lovely skeleton statue for her short essay on how awesome Ayn Rand is.
Everyone in attendence seemed to enjoy the event, so we will be hosting another poetry slam early next semester. Stay tuned for further information!
